Sourcing Project Updates
Corporate United’s sourcing team and the
member sourcing committees are nearing the
end of two current projects: packaging
supplies and drug testing & background
checks. The sourcing team is also working on
updating or renegotiating the Cintas
uniforms and mats agreement and the
InterCall conferencing agreement. Please
contact Gary Como (gcomo@corporateunited.com)
if you would like to participate on a
sourcing committee or provide spend
information.
Packaging Supplies
The packaging supplies project is moving
briskly toward completion. The scope has
broadened to include janitorial supplies,
and the sourcing team is working with
suppliers to obtain the most up to date
pricing on corrugated, tape and film. The
finalists made their presentations to the
sourcing committee in late November, and the
group is currently conducting the final
analytical work of examining each supplier’s
business case. Watch your email inbox for a
News Now announcing the supplier.
Drug Testing and
Background Checks
November was a busy month for the drug
testing and background checks sourcing
project; Corporate United’s sourcing team
held initial meetings to view presentations
from 21 possible supplier partners. Those
suppliers submitted quotes in November, and
the sourcing team is now analyzing those
quotes to narrow the field. The selected
finalists will present to the sourcing
committee in January 2010, and the group
expects to introduce the chosen supplier in
February.
Pharmacy Benefits
Management
Corporate United is excited to announce that
the committee for the pharmacy benefits
management sourcing initiative has
officially convened and conducted their
first call. This kickoff meeting was
extremely productive, and we are more
confident than ever that the process will
result in a best-in-class agreement for our
members. In addition to a review of the
timeline and a discussion about evaluation
criteria, the majority of the time was
dedicated to reaching a consensus on which
vendors would be invited to participate.
It’s not too late to take part in this
project and take advantage of what is sure
to be among the most impactful contracts
across your entire portfolio. For more
information contact David Clevenger (dclevenger@corporateunited.com)
or your member development representative.
