Former Congressman Michael Oxley, who with Senator Paul Sarbanes sponsored the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, has accepted the invitation to be the closing keynote speaker for SYNERGY 2008. Declared “the most farreaching reforms of American business practices since the time of Franklin Delano Roosevelt” by President George W. Bush, the eleven titles – and the history and implementation – of Sarbanes-Oxley are a must-know for any business professional.
Keith Thompson, Manager of Strategic Sourcing for Progressive Insurance and Caldwell Hart, Dresser-Rand’s Director of Global Indirect Sourcing will represent the Corporate United membership by conducting two of the breakout sessions. Mr. Thompson plans to speak on procure-to-pay and related organizational structures, while Mr. Hart will share his expertise in applying lean methodologies to the management of indirect spend. The breakout sessions provide an excellent opportunity to hear how your Corporate United peers tackle some of the most challenging procurement issues in the business.
