Corporate United recently
finalized a material handling management
contract with Total Fleet Solutions (TFS).
TFS is a brand-independent fleet management
company specializing in forklifts and allied
equipment that currently manages over 20,000
assets for customers in North America.
Material handling equipment
is the mechanical equipment used in the
movement, storage and control of materials
throughout manufacturing and distribution
processes. This includes, but is not limited
to: forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers,
forklift attachments, and batteries and
chargers.
For companies trying to
determine if this agreement is relevant to
them, consider this: an independent survey
of 500 companies revealed that only six
percent of the respondents knew the
maintenance cost-per-hour of each lift truck
in their fleet. The material handling
management agreement allows companies to
answer questions like this and compile other
relevant data to more efficiently run their
businesses.
